Philip Palmer

Elder Philip Palmer is a graduate of Oakwood College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, and Double Major in Accounting and Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the University of Phoenix where he obtained a Master of Business Administration Degree.
He has served most of his employment life in denominational work. He served in various accounting positions at South Central Conference for 16 years and then continued to serve as their Treasurer/CFO for approximately 10 years.
After a brief time working for the State of Tennessee, Philip transitioned to Dallas, Texas to serve as Senior Accountant for Southwest Region Conference for two years.
In 2015, he was elected to serve as Treasurer/CFO for Southwest Region Conference, where he continues to serve to this day.
Philip is happily married to his wife of 35 years, Ingrid B. Harrell, a registered nurse.

Beginning his professional journey as a K-12 Physical Education Teacher at the Bermuda Institute in the Bermuda Conference, Pastor North later served as Chaplain, Bible, and P.E. Teacher at Grand Rapids Adventist Academy in Grand Rapids, MI. He then transitioned to full-time Pastoral ministry in the Lake Region Conference, pastoring in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, and then was elected to the position of Youth and Young Adult Ministries Director.
Pastor North served as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adult Ministries at the Oakwood University Church in Huntsville, AL, before being elected as the Executive Secretary of the Southwest Region Conference. Pastor North also serves as the Associate Pastor of The Dallas Project Church.
Driven by a deep love for his work, Pastor North finds joy in spending time with loved ones, engaging in theological conversations, and following sports. His profound passion lies in authentically sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and empowering individuals to pursue their God-given passions. With a vision to reach the world, reclaim the lost, and reflect the image of Jesus Christ, Pastor North’s mission is to ignite transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
